MRCI is excited to recruit four (4) new skilled members to our Board of Directors. We are specifically interested in individuals with skills and background in Business and Finance, Faith & Spirituality, Health & Wellness, Environmental Justice, Nonprofit Management, Project Management and Event Planning. Additionally, we would be grateful to have a board member with a background in Affordable Housing (Law) or Real Estate (Law).

Our board is a great opportunity for those with a personal and/or professional interest in harm reduction, substance abuse/misuse prevention, mental health awareness, peer support, recovery, and youth development.

We aim to have a Board that fully represents where we live and serve. We are seeking individuals from groups that are traditionally exploited and marginalized, including but not limited to: Latina/Latino/LatinX, LGBTQ+, and Veterans.

Our Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 1:30 pm. We encourage virtual participation when meeting in person isn't practical or convenient. Board terms are one year and are renewable for up to three consecutive terms.

We have 100 percent board giving and participation. Board members serve on committees, attend events, promote our organization, and engage donors and funders. Time commitment is approximately 5 hours/month (including the meeting).

POsition Type: Service-based
